Gerlinde Stobrawa

Gerlinde Stobrawa, nee Kautz, ( born January 23, 1949 in Altkünkendorf, County Angermuende ) is a German politician (The Left ). She was from 1990 to 2012 Member of the Landtag of Brandenburg and from 2005 to 2009 as Vice President. She was unofficial employee of the East German secret police.

Life

Stobrawa studied from 1965 to 1968 at the Institute of Teacher Education in Neuzelle pedagogy and worked from 1968 to 1974 as lower grades teacher and deputy director. Between 1974 and 1984 she was a staff member and later chairman of the District Pioneer organization Ernst Thalmann. From 1984 to 1989 she worked at the Council of the District Frankfurt ( Oder), while from 1985 to 1986 and from 1987 to 1989 member of the Council for Youth, Physical Culture and Sports. Between 1986 and 1987 she graduated from the Party School Karl Marx in Berlin, where she obtained the Diploma in Society scientist. From December 1989 to 1990, she was first deputy chairman of the council of the district.

Stobrawa is married and has two children.

Policy

Stobrawa occurred in 1968, the SED and remained even after the transformation to the PDS and the merger to the party " Die Linke" member. She was from 1999 to 2003 Member of the District Oder-Spree, and since 2003 honorary mayor of Bad Saarow.

Since the first federal election in October 1990 she was a member of the Brandenburg state parliament. There it was 1991/1992 Member of the First and Second Brandenburg Constitutional Committee and from 1999 to 2004 chairman of the Committee on European Affairs and Development Policy. 2004 to 2009 she was deputy chairman of this committee. From 2005 to 2009 she was Vice President of the State Parliament. Stobrawa was last European policy spokeswoman, DIE LINKE.

On December 10, 2012 Stobrawa resigned from her position as deputy.

Unofficial employee of the State Security

Since November 1991, announced that Stobrawa worked since September 1987 as IM Marisa for the Ministry for State Security ( Stasi). The corresponding index card was found in the review of the Diet on Stasi employees. There it was used for spying on an employee at the Council of the District Frankfurt ( Oder). As of March 1988, she was under the Department XX ( culture, church, underground ) of the MfS. Since January 1989 she has even been called informer on special assignment (IME ) performed. In 1991, the so-called honor Stobrawa Commission had classified as a borderline case, but at that time was only a part of the previously retrieved files available. Still missing a signed statement of commitment. Stobrawa denies the allegations, was, however, at the same time to, not being able to dispel. As a result, she left her position as parliamentary vice-president first rest from 27 November 2009 and came on 30 November 2009 back from this post, but without resigning their seat in Parliament.

Stobrawa justified their former cooperation with the Stasi with the fact that she was responsible for youth exchanges with Poland as well as for holiday stays of children from Israel, Syria, the PLO, as well as from the Federal Republic in the Council of the District.
