Germain Louis Chauvelin

Germain Louis Chauvelin de, marquis de Groisbois (* 1685, † 1762) was a French Minister of State, Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs from 1727 to 1737 and Lord Privy Seal.

Life and work

Germain Louis Chauvelin de pursued as Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs directed against Austria policy. He was one of the principal proponents of France declared war on Austria in 1733 ( Polish Succession War) due to the voltages to the Polish throne.
