German-American Friendship Garden

The German - American Friendship Garden is located in Washington, DC in the United States. He should keep alive the memory of the first German immigrants to the United States. Its core is an oak tree, which the German Federal President Karl Carstens planted in 1983. The garden was designed by Wolfgang Oehme and James van Sweden, who donated the plants and inaugurated by Helmut Kohl and Ronald Reagan.
