German Angus Cattle

The German Angus breed of cattle was bred in the 1950s in the Federal Republic of Germany by crossing different displacement of indigenous cattle breeds like German Black Pied Holstein color direction / Red Holstein and Simmental in Aberdeen Angus.

The race is held mainly in suckler cow for meat production but also to maintain the landscape. The animals are either solid black or red and always polled. Bulls have average at a height at the withers of 140 cm, a weight of 1100 kg and cows at 132 cm about 625 kg. Other features include calving ease and good nature.

There are about 25,000 mother cows are out of which approximately 8,000 in the herd book.
