German Cycling Network

The D- routes are a system of twelve long-distance routes, which is located in Germany under the National Cycling Plan in the making. The project had a ten-year period from 2002 to 2012. NRVP In 2020, a continuation of the project was approved. In North Rhine- Westphalia Routes 3, 4, 7, 8 and 9 are already posted in connection with the cycle network NRW.

Future

The adopted in summer 2012 National Cycling Plan 2020 envisages to integrate the Euro Velo Route 13 " Iron Curtain " in the D network. Further changes in the tourism sector this plan does not exist.
