Gernot Trauner

Gernot Trauner ( born March 25, 1992) is an Austrian football player at the position of midfielder. Currently, he plays in the SV Ried in the Bundesliga, the highest Austrian league.

Career

Youth

Trauner began his career at SV Kematen am Innbach in Upper Austria. In 1997, he began to play football and stayed until 2006 in the various youth teams of the club. He subsequently joined the football academy Linz. There he went through from the U15 to U19 teams all. Height of his career FAL was winning the championship with the U17 in the season 2008/09.

Club career

After a good first round at the U19 Academy Linz he was committed in February 2010 LASK Linz. Trauner came initially at the LASK Juniors in the Upper Austrian League for use. In summer 2012, he moved to Bundesliga side SV Ried and made ​​his debut in a 0-1 home defeat against Sturm Graz on 1 September 2012.

Internationally

Trauner was convened for the first time for a youth team of Austria in 2008 on demand. For the Austrian U-18 selection, he has played five times. He made his debut in the qualifier for the U-19 Football Championship in 2010 against Switzerland. He scored one goal in the qualifiers against Hungary.

Furthermore, he was in the squad of Austria to the U-19 European Football Championships 2010 in France. Trauner came in all three group matches played at right-back for use, scoring in the 2:3 defeat to England last hit to 2:3. Austria was behind England and hosts France third in the group and thus qualified for the Junior World Cup 2011 in Colombia.
