Gershom

Gershom (also: Gershom or Gershom ) was the eldest son of Moses in the Old Testament.

"I became a guest in a foreign land " ( 2.Mose 18.3 )

Gershom was born in the Sinai Peninsula when his father Moses was on the run from the Egyptians refuge in the house of the priest Jethro. Moses married Jethro's daughter Zipporah, the mother of Gershom and Eliezer his younger brother.

Gershom was a teenager, when Moses had a vision of the burning bush, and God received the order to go to Egypt and deliver his people from slavery. Moses took this his whole family, including Gershom to Egypt.

In Egypt, Gershom joined the tribe of Dan, and was the father of two sons, Jonathan and Shebuel.
