Gert Haller

Gert Haller ( born April 30, 1944 in Tübingen, † April 11, 2010 in Bremen ) was a German politician and manager. He was from 2006 to 2009 as Secretary of State and head of the Federal President of protocol highest ranking German officials.

Life

As the son of Economics professor and Secretary Heinz Haller - this worked from 1970 to 1972 under the Finance Minister Alex Möller in the preparation of tax reform - he studied economics in Berlin and Heidelberg. From 1970 to 1977 he was a research assistant at the Chair for Economic Policy at the Ruprecht -Karls- University of Heidelberg.

In addition to the political activity Haller was a member of since 1998 the Board of Scientific Book Company ( WBG ) and was its chairman from 2007.
