The total school at Gluckstein ( GaG ) is a secondary school in Bad Homburg, which is operated in sponsorship of the Hochtaunuskreises as cooperative comprehensive school. The school is named after a district boundary stone, the Gluckstein on the edge of the school grounds.
In 2006, the School was awarded the Gluckstein as a Hessian from 25 schools for a clean stick to school.
General
On the whole school at Gluckstein over 800 per year pupils are taught by about 70 teachers. Approximately one- third of the 800 students are of foreign origin. The school provides these students to support measures. Students of each school branch without knowledge of the German language is offered an intensive course. The reports also teaching in native languages for Greeks, Italians, Croats, Serbs, Moroccans, Spaniards, Bosnians and Turks.
The first lesson begins at 08:00 clock, the sixth ends at 13:15 clock. Working groups ( AG ) and the like begin in the afternoon after the lunch break from 13.50 clock. The school offers ten different working groups.

The total school includes a gymnasium branch ( grades 7-10 ), a secondary school branch ( grades 7-10 ), a main branch school ( grades 7-9 ) and a feed stage (grades 5-6).
The high school branch ( grades 7-10 ) begins at the comprehensive school at Gluckstein in class 5 and ends after grade 10 The conversion from nine ( G9) on the eight-year Gymnasium ( G8) was held in the school year 2006/2007. For school year 2008/2009, the total school decided on Gluckstein to introduce the nine -year-old high school again. As a first foreign language, in grades 5, English is offered. The main branch school ( grades 7-9 ) leads to the secondary school (vocational school readiness ). In grade 8 students take the main part in a three-week internship. In the 9th grade they take part in a two-week block placement and a subsequent weekly practice day. The connection between school and the world of work is reinforced by means of practical classes since the school year 2004/2005.
