Gföhl is a town with 3693 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in the district of Krems- Land in Lower Austria.

Geography

Gföhl located in the Waldviertel in Lower Austria on a plateau northeast of the Kremstal. The city of Krems on the Danube is about 20 km away. The area of ​​the municipality covers 80.75 square kilometers. 46.03 percent of the area is forested. Gföhl is located on the southwestern edge of the Gföhler forest.

History
