Gherkin

Gherkins or pickles are young, immature cucumbers that have been doused with a boiling spiced vinegar and herb -Sud and pasteurized thereby. The most industrially produced gherkins differ greatly in size and in the spice mixture used. Often, dill, yellow mustard seeds, onion, salt and sugar if and flavors such as pepper found in Sud. In South and West Germany, they are also referred to as pickles, while in northern and eastern Germany pickles are meant by this term.

Gherkin

As gherkin refers decorative elements of the Cold Kitchen. Are used for this pickled cucumbers as pickles and pickled cucumbers. These are cut in half diagonally lengthwise.
