Ghorahi, formerly Tribhuwannagar [ त्रिभुवननगर ], is a city ( Nepali: Nagarpalika, English: municipality ) in the inner Terai in Nepal at an altitude of 625-1350 m. It is the administrative seat of the district of Dang Deukhuri in the Rapti zone belonging to the Central Western Development Region. The city passed in 1979 out of the former Village Development Committees Ghorahi and Sewar Bangaun and was originally named after the former Nepali King Tribhuwan.
