Football

Reinhold Wosab, 1965 ( League)

The first Phantomtor in the German Bundesliga scored Reinhold Wosab on 27 March 1965 at the Game Borussia Dortmund against Karlsruher SC. His goal for Dortmund 4-1 in the 74th minute was irregular, as the ball passed through the external network into the goal. The end result of this meeting of the 25th Round was 5:1. A replay did not exist.

Dieter Kobel, 1978 ( Second Bundesliga South )

On 21 October 1978, the Second Bundesliga South experienced a Phantomtor. In the 63rd minute of the meeting of the 12th matchday between Borussia Neunkirchen and the Stuttgarter Kickers ( Full 4:3) was shot by Dieter Kobel at the score of 3-3 over the target. The ball jumped off the back of the net so high that gave the impression that he was in goal - and the referee decided, with the support of his linesman, on target. In view of the television images, the game was not counted and re-arranged; Stuttgarter Kickers won the replay 1-0. It was the first time that a so-called factual decision of an arbitrator did not have stock.

Arne Larsen Økland, 1981 ( League)

Another Phantomtor in the Bundesliga fell on March 7, 1981 at TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen vs Bayern Munich. With the score of 3-0 to Leverkusen hit the striker Arne Larsen Økland, in the first-half hat-trick had succeeded, the right power bar behind the goal. From there, the ball bounced to the side-netting that referees Udo Horeis first detected on port. The fact that the ball was not in goal, but Økland informed shortly before the kick-off following the referee with, which then reversed its decision and allowed to continue the game with a kick for Bayern Munich. For his action, the Norwegian striker later the Fair Play Medal of world governing body FIFA received.

Thomas Helmer, 1994 ( League)

The probably most famous Phantomtor succeeded Thomas Helmer on April 23, 1994 at 32 ( third last ) Matchday for Bayern Munich against 1 FC Nuremberg.

In the 26 minutes Helmer transported in an opaque situation in the penalty area the ball towards goal Nuremberg. He missed and the ball rolled past the left post of the goal line. The linesman Jablonski, however, had seen the astonishment of all, a gate and signaled this to the referee Hans -Joachim Osmers. Osmers recognized the hits and Bayern Munich won the match 2-1 (including Phantomtor ). In retrospect, the DFB said the goal for invalid, citing a rule violation of the referee. Although a factual decision of the arbitrator is final principle, according to the DFB sports court is satisfied that such was not, however, just before: The referee had to leave by making eye contact on the decision of the line judge. This did not indicate whether a goal is to give or not, but assessed a previous game situation the referee at that moment, however. The referee had to convince them that the linesman actually at exactly the situation gave him information to which he wants information. That he did not do so here, be the decisive rule violation and this is not a factual decision. Then the game was rescheduled. Bayern Munich won the replay 5-0.

Nuremberg had in the first game just before the end even a penalty (contactors, the former Bayern player Manfred Schwabl was ) fired. In a 2-2 it would have been no protest. Assuming that all other games would have ended with the same results, Bayern would not have become masters in a draw ( but the 1st FC Kaiserslautern) and Nuremberg would have thought through the point gain the class (instead of the SC Freiburg).

Stefan Kiessling, 2013 ( League)

Also in the top-flight TSG 1899 Hoffenheim, Bayer 04 Leverkusen on October 18, 2013, was a Phantomtor. With the score at 0-1 headed home Stefan Kiessling (Leverkusen ) from outside the network side; and the ball went through a hole but still within the Tor network. Referee Felix Brych was the "hit". The match ended 1:2. Hoffenheim lodged an objection against the game standings, but was rejected on 28 October 2013 of the German Football Association Sport Court, since it is a fact decision of the arbitrator, which was finally settled under the rules and regulations. In sports rights activists that judgment came upon a mixed response.

At the end of the SG Kronau / Östringen won thanks to the " Phantom Gate " with 26:25. Dusseldorf lodged an appeal with the Federal Court Sports. The court sat at a replay, which the SG Kronau / Östringen with 34:24 decided on 17 May 2006 in Eppelheim for themselves.
