Giant Dipper (Belmont Park)

Giant Dipper (also known as Mission Beach Roller Coaster) at Belmont Park (San Diego, California, USA) is a wooden roller coaster that opened on July 4, 1925. Twice the railway was closed for longer times: the first time on 2 February 1955 to 1956, the second time in December 1976 to August 10, 1990 In addition, it has been renamed several times.. It was originally opened as the Giant Dipper, drove from 1950 until July 1976 as Rollercoaster and from July 1976 to December 1976 as Earthquake.

The 793 meter long track reaches a height of 22 m. The trains of Giant Dipper each have six cars and are manufactured by Morgan. In each car four people can (two rows of two people) take place.
