Gibba

Gibba (pseudonym of Francesco Maurizio Guido, born December 18, 1925 in Alassio ) is an Italian animator.

Life

Gibba lived since 1941 in Rome and worked as an illustrator for two films by Luigi Giobbi first time for the cartoon. He worked among others with Carlo Cossio and Federico Fellini, then he contributed to Antonio Rubino Nel paese dei Ranocchi. In 1946 he founded with Giannetto Beniscelli the production company " Alfa Circus film", with which he financed a number of works. Noteworthy is the 1946 L'ultimo resulting Sciuscià, the only animated film of neo-realism.
