The torrent is a right tributary of the young Schutter in Oberbayern below Wellheim in the district of Eichstätt only just beyond the municipal boundary of Rennertshofen.

The highest, not resistant Dividend Payment of the torrent source is located at about 520 m above sea level. NN Eichstätter next to the county road 5, about 600 m northeast of the Ortsrandes of Gammersfeld. From here, the water will soon be relocating in eastern passage through a forest blade in the southern Franconian and reached after about 2 km, the valley of the fact buried Wellheimer Trockentals, from where he was Auengraben closely between the Schutter to the north and the state road in 2047 in the south again so long continues.
