Gilbert Hovey Grosvenor

Gilbert Hovey Grosvenor ( born October 28, 1875 in Istanbul, Turkey, † February 4, 1966 ) was for 55 years editor of National Geographic and has significantly moved the photojournalism.

Life

Grosvenor was born as the son of Orientalist and Professor of History at Amherst College Edwin A. Grosvenor and Lilian Waters Grosvenor 1875 in Istanbul.

Services

Grosvenor is considered the founder of photojournalism and for 55 years editor of National Geographic.
