The Gimhae Airport ( 김해 국제 공항, Gimhae Gukje Gongshang, kor. Gimhae International Airport ) is the airport of the city of Busan in South Korea, located in the neighboring administrative area of the city of Gimhae. It is located 20 km west of Busan and has both a national and international passenger and freight terminal.

Regular domestic flights go to Seoul -Incheon, Seoul - Gimpo and Jeju International are Guam, Nagoya, Nanjing, Tokyo, Manila, Munich, Bangkok, Beijing, Guangzhou, Vladivostok, Osaka, Saipan, Shanghai, Yuzhno -Sakhalinsk, Sapporo, Siem Reap, Xian, Shenyang, Qingdao, Taipei, Hangzhou, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hong Kong, Fukuoka and Weihai served.

Lufthansa has received 2007 Busan to its network and flies 6 times a week on the route Munich - Seoul - Busan.

In 2011, a rail link was put into operation, with the airport was connected to the metro network of Busan. On the route of 23.92 km there are 21 stations.

History

The first airport in the city was taken under the name of Busan Suyong Airfield in August 1958. In September 1963, it was renamed to Busan International Airport and transferred in August 1978 on the current location and renamed the Gimhae International Airport.
