Ginger Ale

Ginger Ale ( German ginger beer ) [ ʤɪnʤɐ eɪɫ ] is a soft drink, which owes its flavor and its name to the ginger root (german ginger ). Known manufacturers of ginger ale are eg Schweppes or Canada Dry. The light brown color is due from buried in caramel. Despite its name relationship with the English beer Ale is the ginger ale not a product obtained by a fermentation process product, but a non-alcoholic soft drink with vegetable extracts.

Similar drinks are also English Ginger Beer ( originally containing alcohol ), the Austrian Almdudler and the Berlin Fassbrause that both recall the appearance and the taste of ginger ale, but is generally regarded as herbal sodas.
