Gino Pariani

Gino Pariani ( born February 21, 1928 in St. Louis, Missouri, † May 9, 2007 ) was an American soccer national team.

Career

Gino Pariani began at the age of thirteen to play football. Two years later he played in an amateur league. He played in his career five countries matches and scored one goal. He participated with the U.S. National team at the World Cup 1950 in Brazil, where the U.S. won 1-0 against England. His only goal he scored there in the game against Spain ( 17 minutes ) with the U.S., a moderate success came when they had led to 80.Minute and then lost with 1:3. He also took part in London at the 1948 Olympic Games. With St. Louis Simpkins - Ford, he won the 1948 and 1950 U.S. Open Cup. In 1963 he finished his career. In 1976 he was inducted into the National Soccer Hall of Fame. He died on 9 May 2007 from cancer.
