Gintaras Didžiokas

Gintaras Didžiokas ( born August 10, 1966 in Vilnius) is a Lithuanian politician. Didžiokas is a member of the European Parliament for the Lietuvos Valstiečių liaudininkų sąjunga ( Lithuanian peasants Bund) and deputy chairman of the Union for a Europe of Nations since 2004.

Life

Didžiokas studied at the Kaunas Technological University and completed his studies of radio electronics in 1991. In addition, he earned a master's degree in 2004 the international business management at the International University in Moscow. Didžiokas worked as an engineer in the Communications Service of the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Lithuania and was deputy from 1991 Head of Service. He was " Euro pulse ir Co" appointed director of a GmbH in 1992.

Didžiokas was a member of the party of New Democracy ( ND) and was in 2000 elected Deputy Chairman. He belonged to from the October 19, 2000 the Lithuanian Parliament ( Seimas ) and was a member of the Committees on State Administration and Local Self-Government, commercial economy and employment, a member of the Anti-Corruption Committee. In addition Didžiokas was from 2003 to 2004 observers in the European Parliament. On 22 June 2004 Didžiokas retired from the Lithuanian Parliament and moved to the European Parliament.
