Giorgio Capitani

Giorgio Capitani ( born December 29, 1927 in Paris ) is an Italian film director.

Life

Capitani began his career in 1946 as an assistant director, including at Vittorio Cottafavi. His first film You've got me Forgot 1953 rotated. After a handful of melodramas, which met with mild interest, he devoted himself to the synchronous directed and worked as a director of the second rod for larger productions; a second career start he experienced in 1964, when he specialized in comedies, which he turned as television productions since the late 1980s. Again and again he scattered but " serious " films therebetween; successful were the stories of Commissario Rocca.

Towards the end of the 20th century, he resorted to more serious, often biographical materials.

His nom -de -film was George Holloway.
