Giorgio Grassi

Giorgio Grassi ( born October 27, 1935 in Milan, Italy ) is an Italian architect.

Importance

Giorgio Grassi is considered a major representative of the recent Italian Rationalism. In his works he has been since the 1970s, among other things, such as historic buildings and cities can be thought further, adding that an intensive dialogue, but no contrast between the old and the new. He is at odds with postmodern fashions and experiments and the present cult of celebrity in architecture. In his writings he deals inter alia with the issues of reconstruction and the "old town ". In 1997, the honorary membership in the covenant, he was awarded German Architects BDA.
