Giorgio Malinverni
Giorgio Malinverni ( born October 3, 1941) is a Swiss lawyer, university professor and judge.
On 27 July 2006, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council has elected him to be a judge at the European Court of Human Rights. He replaced in this function Lucius Wildhaber. As one of three proposed by the Swiss authorities candidates, he was 75 votes, the other two, Lili Nabholz and Giusep Nay, 49 and 19 votes.
On 9 October 2007 he held at the University of Geneva his farewell lecture.
