Giovanni Battista Draghi (composer)
Giovanni Battista Draghi (* 1640 in Rimini, † May 13 1708 in London ) was an Italian organist, harpsichordist and composer.
Draghi worked from 1675 at the English court, including as music master to King Charles II and as a teacher of the future queens Mary II and Anne. He was probably a brother of the composer Antonio Draghi.
He created several works of vocal music ( including 1687 choral work with instrumental accompaniment in the Italian style "Song for St. Cecilia 's Day" ) for teaching purposes as well as chamber music for various instruments, including six suites for harpsichord. Most of his works are lost.
