Giovanni Benedetti

Giovanni Benedetti ( born March 12, 1917 in Spello, Perugia, Italy) is a retired bishop of Foligno.

Life

Giovanni Benedetti was ordained on May 26, 1940 priests of the Patriarchate of Venice. He was appointed on December 12, 1974 Auxiliary Bishop of Perugia as well as titular bishop of Limata. The prefect of the Congregation for Bishops, Cardinal Sebastiano Baggio consecrated him on January 23 of next year to the bishop; Co-consecrators were Ferdinando Lambruschini, Archbishop of Perugia, and Siro Silvestri, Bishop of Luni. Paul VI. appointed him on 25 March 1976 for the Bishop of the Diocese of Foligno.

On October 10, 1992 Pope John Paul II accepted his resignation age-related.
