Girl friends – Freundschaft mit Herz

Girl friends - friendship with heart is a successful television series in the early evening of the ZDF. From 1995 to 2005 seven seasons were produced, of which six books have been published. As of December 7, 2005 ran on ZDF at 20.15 clock two new episodes. The last episode of the series in the Saturday afternoon program was broadcast on 13 October 2007.

Content

The series tells of the life and work in a hotel, friendships, intrigue and love. The starting point is the friendship of Marie Malek and Ilka Frowein. Ilka that makes as chief secretary in the international hotel group in Hamburg Hansson career, helps her friend when jumping from Lower Saxony Hitzacker in an exciting Hamburg city life. Marie will soon girlfriends and make it into the hotel chain continues to rise.

Since the 6th season Christian Dolbien and Iris Sandberg took over the helm and lead a new team of " Grand Hansson " continue the series.

Background

Production

The history of the series is loosely based on the U.S. comedy Working Girl (1988 ) with Melanie Griffith and Harrison Ford early 1991, producer and screenwriter Christian Jutta Lieck pan Schmidt sat down together to design a concept for the series. A year passed before the screenplay were precursors Exposé and Treatment developed and sold to ZDF. Another year began work on the script of the first season to complete. Finally, in 1993 was the first take of girlfriends.

The first season was aired from December 26, 1995 by 1996, subsequently the second season. The third season was from October 1997 to December 1997 on TV, the fourth in the autumn of 1998, the fifth in January 2002 and the sixth in the spring of 2004. All seasons had 13 episodes. The film was shot at the Steigenberger Hotel Hamburg ( " Hansson Hotel " ), in an office building of the Hanseatic Trade Center at the Kehrwiederspitze ( " Hansson Palace " ) and at the Dorint Hotel Alter Wall directly on the banks of the Alster ( " Grand Hansson Hotel ").

The seventh and final season ran from July 28 to October 13, 2007 clock in the afternoon program of the ZDF, starting with the repetition of the pilot.

On 5 October 1998, the TV movie Reunion was broadcast on ZDF in Palma parallel to the fourth season in which it comes to Marie's mother, Elizabeth, and her husband Erich Harsefeld and Marie's biological father mainly Martin Malek. Between the fourth and fifth season, a spin-off titled Hotel Elfie was shown from February 22, 2000 also, which focuses on the former secretary Elfie Gerdes is.
