Girls in the House is the debut album by German pop girl group Preluders, which was released on 24 November 2003 by the record company Polydor. It was produced by Uwe Fahrenkrog- Petersen and Gena Wernik. The album reached number two in Germany and was certified gold for more than 100,000 copies sold. It contains eleven other songs also the first and only number -one hit Everyday Girl.

Background

Preluders released as a single, a cover version of the song Losing My Religion by REM, which sold over 600,000 times, yet they only reached the second place in the ProSieben - casting competition Popstars. As a second single Everyday Girl was released, which was also very successful as a number -one hit in Germany in 2003. Subsequently, an album was recorded.

Content

When the songs Catch Me, Tattoo You, Bye Bye for the Better and Born to Love You Forever is " mid-tempo ballads ". Sundown is a song that reminds the style of Modern Talking.

Stefan Johannesberg of laut.de criticized the impression the band leaves with the album: " The prepubescent sluts lacks charisma and class to every nook and cranny. " But warns that " at least a few good ideas ."
