Gisela Fischdick

Gisela fish Dick ( born November 5, 1955 in Mülheim an der Ruhr ) is a German chess grandmaster.

Life

Chess learned fish thick as 12 -year-old from her father. At 16 she joined the chess club SC Mülheim -Hot. In 1974 she won the German youth championship of the girls. In the same year she passed her Abitur at the Gymnasium and Luis school. In the women she scored her first big success with a second place behind Marta Litinskaja at the 1st International German Women's Championship 1977 in Bad Kissingen. 1978 at the German Championship in Delecke she won also the second place, this time tied with Barbara dog.

Interzonal of women in 1979 in Rio de Janeiro, she finished fourth. They then had to take a stab fight against Marta Litinskaja for the last free place in the Candidates tournament play. After a 3-0 lead fish Dick still lost with 3,5:4,5. In the same year she was awarded the title of FIDE International Master.

Chess Olympiads

From 1978 to 1994 she took part in a total of eight Chess Olympiads for Germany. At the Chess Olympiad 1978 in Buenos Aires, the German team won a bronze medal.

Title

At national level, won Gisela fish Dick total of 43 German league titles (20 individual and 23 team titles ). She won 15 times the German Blitz Championship of Women and 5 times the German Rapid Chess Championship. 1980 FIDE awarded her the title of International Master of women ( WIM). In 2005, she received the Women's Grandmaster title ( WGM ).
