Giuseppe Ferlendis

Giuseppe Ferlendis (* 1755 in Bergamo, † 1802 or possibly until 1810 in Lisbon ) was an Italian composer and oboist.

Life

During his lifetime Ferlendis was a celebrated Oboe virtuoso. From April 1777 to June 1778 he had a job at the Prince Archbishop's court orchestra in Salzburg. His annual salary was 540 florins with 40 guilders on his colleague Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. This composed for Oboe Concerto KV 314 Ferlendis be in Salzburg in 1777 Ferlendis was first Oboe Concerto in F major, which corresponds to the local tastes.

He was active in 1795 in London and devoted his last there composed Oboe Concerto Joseph Haydn. He received in 1801 in Lisbon His last job.
