Giuseppe Pisanu

Giuseppe " Beppe " Pisanu ( born January 2, 1937 in Ittiri province of Sassari ) is an Italian business leaders, politicians, the Christian Democrats (DC), Forza Italia and the Popolo della Libertà ( PdL ).

Life

After school he studied agricultural science and was named after the degree ( Laurea ) Manager of public sector enterprises.

His political career began when he was a candidate of the DC on May 25, 1972 Member in the Camera dei deputati ( Chamber of Deputies ) has been selected and this until 27 April 2006 Cagliari constituency or the XXVI. Constituency represented Sardinia.

In October 1980, he was Under Secretary in the Ministry of the Treasury in the Cabinet of Prime Minister Arnaldo Forlani and held that office in the subsequent two cabinets by Giovanni Spadolini and the fifth cabinet of amine gates Fanfani to January 1983. After the dissolution of DC he became a member of Forza Italia, was from May 1996 to June 2001 Chairman of the faction in the Chamber of Deputies.

After a cabinet reshuffle, he was on July 3, 2002 Minister of the Interior and held this function in the second and third Berlusconi government until May 17, 2006.
