Giuseppe Reina

Giuseppe "Billy" Reina ( born April 15, 1972 in Unna ) is a retired German - Italian footballer.

Career

As a footballer, he began at age twelve when Königsborner SV in Unna and then moved to Red-White Unna. In 1994 he came to the then playing in the second division SG Wattenscheid 09, where he remained until relegation to the Regionalliga.

In 1996 he moved to Arminia Bielefeld in the first division. Three years later he moved to Borussia Dortmund, where he celebrated his greatest successes sporty. In 2002, he was with the German champions Borussia and reached the UEFA Cup Final. As of February 2004, he played for Hertha BSC, from the summer of 2005 for Sportfreunde Siegen.

For the season 2006/2007 he got a new contract. After he was for a time without a club, he finished his career.

Following the adoption of German citizenship Giuseppe Reina graduated a few games in the A2 National Team. In total he played 171 Bundesliga games and scored 34 goals. He also came in second league 103 games on 25 goals.

His nickname " Billy" he got from his younger sister, who could not pronounce Giuseppe and as "Billy" baptized him.

From 2010 to 2012, he coached youth teams of SV Holzwickede. In January 2012, however, took over the post Rüdiger Hesse.
