Glas Koncila

Glass Koncila ( Ger. vote of the Council ) is a Roman Catholic on regional weekly newspaper with editorial headquarters in Zagreb (Croatia).

History

At the urging of the Zagreb Franciscans ( OFM), the newspaper Glas Koncila appeared with the help of former Croatian Archbishop Franjo Seper first time on 4 October 1962 to report on the second Vatican Council.

From September 29th 1963, the newspaper was published under the motto The New Face of the Church. It was published by the Archdiocese of Zagreb, whose leader was the chief editor of the glass Koncila simultaneously. The run length is specified the mid-1970s with 140,000. By 1984 the glass Koncila appeared in two weekly intervals.

Since January 1985 Koncila glass is published weekly and was developed by the archdioceses Zagreb, Split - Makarska, Vhrbosna (Sarajevo), Rijeka and Zadar, 1987-1991 published by the Archdiocese of Belgrade in Serbia. Since 2004, the church newspaper Koncila glass is moved solely by the Archdiocese of Zagreb.

Glass Koncila reported on events in the Roman Catholic Church in Croatia and on the territory of the former Yugoslavia. In addition, on the Greek-Catholic diocese Križevci in Croatia and on the the diocese belonging to Greek Catholics in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Serbia, on events in the Roman Catholic Church throughout the world. Also about other events, mostly from the point of view of the Christian religion and the Christian social teaching. The Spiritual Corner section provides the reader with the corresponding Bible text of the Sunday Gospel and the associated reading.
