Gleanings from the Writings of Bahá'u'lláh

The Gleanings (English: Gleanings from the Writings of Baha'u'llah ) is a book containing 165 selected passages of Baha'u'llah, the founder of the Baha'i religion. It is thus as an overview work for the writings of Baha'u'llah.

Background

It includes various writings of Baha'u'llah, which he revealed 1853-1892. Shoghi Effendi In 1935, the most characteristic and then unpublished passages together and translated them from Arabic and Persian into English. In German translation was the selection from 1947 to 1953 in the journal " Sun of Truth ", published in 1961 in book form. The original texts were published under the title " Muntakhabati az athar -i - Hadrat -i Bahá'u'lláh ".
