Gleb Uspensky

Gleb Ivanovich Uspensky (Russian Глеб Иванович Успенский; born October 25, 1843 in Tula, † April 6, 1902 in Strelna near St. Petersburg ) was a Russian writer.

Uspensky was known for his socially critical depictions of life in the countryside. His most important works include " The Road of the Lost " and "The Power of the Earth". Politically, he was close to the " populists ".
