Ględowo

Ględowo ( German light Hagen, Kashubian Glädòwò ) is a village in the Polish Pomeranian Voivodeship and is part of the rural community Człuchów ( Pomerania ) in the powiat Człuchowski ( Pomerania ).

Geographical location

Ględowo is located three kilometers southeast of the city Człuchów ( Pomerania ) on the Polish Droga Krajowa 25 The nearest railway station is on the railway line Człuchów Chojnice Runowo - Pomorskie ( Konitz - Ruhnow ), which runs along the northern edge of town.

History

On June 18, 1874, the then -called light Hagen village headquarters and the eponymous site for the newly established office district light Hagen, which existed until 1945. The place was in the district of Pomerania, of the governmental district boundary Posen- West Prussia was in Pomerania to the governmental district Marienwerderstraße in the Prussian province of West Prussia from 1922 to the provincial border Posen- West Prussia and from 1938. In the District Lichtenhagen three other communities were out of light Hagen incorporated: German Briesen (now Polish: BrzeĹşno ) Niesewanz ( Nieżywięć ) and Richnau ( Rychnowy ).

In light Hagen and the district Augusthof (now Polish: Skarszewo ) 578 residents were registered in 1910. Their number increased to 1925 to 787, was 721 in 1933 and 1939 amounted to 708

As a result of World War II light Hagen came to Poland and received 1945, the Polish name " Ględowo ". Today, the site of Gmina Człuchów (Town of Pomerania ) is in the powiat Człuchowski in the Pomeranian Voivodeship ( 1975-1998 Slupsk voivodship ).

Church

The population light Hagens was a Catholic before 1945 to two-thirds and one-third Protestant denomination. The place was in both churches after Pomerania (now Polish: Człuchów ) oriented toward.

Today, almost exclusively Catholic Church members live in Ględowo. The reference to Człuchów has remained in the Catholic Church in Poland. It is the county seat own deanery, which is assigned to the diocese Pelplin. Here surviving Protestant church members live in the catchment area of the parish in Sępólno Krajeńskie ( Zempelburg ), a branch church of Bydgoszcz ( Bromberg ) in the Diocese of Pomerania - Greater Poland the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland.
