Glenbawn Dam

The Lake Glenbawn is a reservoir in the east of the Australian state of New South Wales. There the Hunter River is dammed.

The associated dam is the largest earth dam in Australia.

The reservoir is located east of Scone in the upper reaches of the river. The dam was completed in 1958.

The main purpose of the dam is the irrigation of farmland in the area. It also regulates the water level in the Hunter River.

The reservoir is a popular fishing waters. Fishing is from a boat or from the shore.
