Glenn Robinson

Glenn A. " Big Dog " Robinson ( born January 10, 1973 in Gary, Indiana ) is a retired American professional basketball player who was active in the NBA between 1994 and 2005.

College

Glenn Robinson played a total of two years for the Purdue University. He put down a very successful college career, scoring in his junior year 30.3 points and 11.2 rebounds per game. He was the first player since 1978, the Big Ten Conference led in these two categories. For his achievements he won countless awards, including the College Big Ten Conference Player of the Year, the John R. Wooden Award and the Naismith Award as the best college basketball player.

NBA

When NBA Draft 1994, he was selected by the Milwaukee Bucks in first place. Even before he has played one game for the Bucks, Robinson received a ten-year contract that guaranteed him $ 68 million. He became the richest rookie NBA history. The following year, the NBA agreed on limited contracts for rookies. Robinson won during his first season twice the Rookie of the Month. At the end of the season he led the list of rookies in points with 21.9 points per game. When choosing the Rookie of the Year he had to Grant Hill and Jason Kidd defeated. However, he was appointed to the NBA All- Rookie First Team.

During his time with the Bucks Robinson made ​​with Ray Allen and Sam Cassell times also with one of the best offensive duos in the NBA. 2000 and 2001 he was in the NBA All- Star Game. 2001 succeeded to the Bucks advance to the Eastern Conference finals.
