Gliese 317 b

Gliese 317 b is an exoplanet, the red dwarf Gliese 317 orbiting the all 692.9 days. Due to its high mass is assumed that it is a gas planet.

Discovery

As the majority of exoplanets was also discovered that using the radial velocity method. The planet was discovered by John A. Johnson and R. Paul Butler in 2007.

Circulation and mass

The planet orbits its star at a distance of approximately 0.95 astronomical units and has a mass of about 381.5 Earth masses, or 1.2 Jupiter masses.
