Glindemann is a district of the town Barby in Salzlandkreis in Saxony- Anhalt.

Geography

Situated on the western banks of the Elbe Glindemann ( "Elbe - current arc " ) between Barby (Elbe ) and Beautiful (Elbe ).

History

The first mention was in an undated deed of the Emperor Otto I to the Moritz monastery in Magdeburg, in which he confirmed his donation of 937 and 939.

Glindemann was 1655/56 affected by witch hunts. The 50 -year-old Elizabeth, wife of David Ferckel, was caught in a witch trial, torture has been subjected to and then released.

On January 1, 2010, the formerly independent communities Glindemann, Breitenhagen, United Roseburg, Lödderitz, Pömmelte, Saxony village, Tornitz, wasps and Zuchau and the city Barby (Elbe ) merged to form the new town of Barby. Culture and sights

To visit in Glindemann the light measuring Archives Museum, the customs of the Glinder Candlemas dedicated.
