Gliozzi Peak

Gliozzi Peak is a summit of Douglas peaks in the Heritage Range, the southern half of Ellsworthgebirges in West Antarctica. The summit reaches a height of 1475 m above sea level making it rises about 200-300 meters above the ice sheet that covers the surrounding countryside. It lies on the western, the Horseshoe Valley facing, side of Douglas peaks, about 3 miles south of Plummer Glacier.

He was named by the American Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names after James Gliozzi, a glaciologist, who took part in the South Pole - Queen Maud Land - crossing the U.S. Antarctic Research Program in the years 1964-65.
