Gliwice Canal

The channel called Gleiwitz, Upper Silesia also channel ( inaugurated as " Adolf Hitler Channel", poln Kanał Gliwice ), runs in the valley of Klodnitz ( Kłodnica ) between Gleiwitz ( Gliwice Harbour ) and the Oder ( mouth: 50 ° 21 ' 34 "N, 18 ° 8 ' 25 " O50.359413617518.140393025833165 ) built at Cosel ( Koźle ) and was between 1934 and 1939 to replace the old Klodnitzkanals. It has a length of approximately 41 kilometers and a height difference of about 49 m.
