Global Greens

The Global Greens are the World Federation of Green Parties and other ecological movements. It was founded in 2001 at a conference in Canberra, where also a common charter, the Global Greens Charter, was adopted. 2008 a second global conference held in São Paulo. The Global Greens is the international network to promote the idea of green policies around the world. The third global conference took place from 29 March to 1 April 2012 in Dakar instead. The youth organization of the Global Greens Global Young Greens are.

Steering Committee

The governing body of the Global Greens is a twelve member committee, the Global Green Steering Committee with three members each from the four regional green organizations, the European Green Party ( EGP), the Federation of Green Parties of Africa, the Federation of the Green Parties of the Americas and the Asia- Pacific Green Network ( APGN ). In addition, the Global Green Network, in each of which a representative of each national Green Party is represented there.

The Global Greens include 16 African, 12 American, 14 Asian-Pacific as well as 32 European parties. The German member parties of the Global Greens are the German Alliance 90/The Greens, the Austrian Green Party and the Green Party of Switzerland.
