Globus (music)

Globus is a music project of soundtrack composers and music producers Yoav Goren and Jeffrey Fayman, who are also founders of the Californian music production company Immediate Music, with which it, inter alia, the music for the trailer of the films Spider- Man 2, The Da Vinci Code - The Da Vinci Code, have produced war of the Worlds, the Lord of the Rings and Open Water.

With their project, the two musicians are linked to her work as a composer of movie trailers by mixing in epic, often dramatic acting, rock music with choral and orchestral sounds. The result they call themselves Cinematic skirt. The concept of the project is similar to that of ES Posthumus.

The music is predominantly of Goren, who has already produced Leonard Cohen, and Jeffrey Fayman composed; other participants include ex -Feeder drummer Mark Richardson, Then Pursey, singer Lisbeth Scott, Anneke van Giersbergen, Gregg Bissonette, soundtrack composer and arranger Hummie man, the Purcell Singers and Robert Fripp, with the Fayman already on the albums Temple in the Clouds and trance Spirits had worked together ( with Steve Roach ).

The first appearance of the project was on 26 July 2006 in the Grand Hall, Wembley Arena, the album Epicon followed in August. In 2011 another studio album was released.

The repertoire was repeatedly performed live with orchestral and choral support and released on CD and DVD. As an orchestral inter alia, the Northwest Sinfonia Orchestra in Seattle was involved, which was nominated in 2011 for a Grammy. The song Orchard of Mines, written by Pursey and Fayman, was covered by the band Asia on the album Phoenix in 2008. Later, a single release of " Orchard of Mines " and a music video was produced at Pinewood Studios in the UK.

In 2011, the new studio album was released. It this time contained twelve new titles. A tour or a concert with the new item has not yet been announced. In May 2012, finally followed the video for the song Save Me from the album Break from This World.

At the opening ceremony for the final of the 2012 European Football Championship, the melody of the song Europe was listed as background music spectacles.
