Gloria Amparo Garcés Galeano ( born April 22, 1958 in Medellin ) is a Colombian botanist and agricultural scientist. Your official botanical author abbreviation is " Galeano ".

Life stages

Gloria Amparo Garcés Galeano was born in Medellin in 1958. She studied at the National University. With the title " agricultural engineer " she graduated in 1983 from this course. The years 1982 to 1984 she spent in the Department of Forest Resources at the University of the same name. In 1984 she was appointed to the Institute of Natural Sciences at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia in Bogota. Your doctor of philosophy she was also awarded in 1996 by the University of Aarhus.
