Glória is a neighborhood of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil.

The district owes its name to the Church of Nossa Senhora da Gloria do Outeiro, one of the first in the city from the 18th century.

Here lives the middle class and the upper middle class of the Cidade maravilhosa, at the northern end of Praia do Flamengo. It is considered the first quarter of the South Zone of Rio, and is the center (Centro ) and the Lapa limited. With the construction of Flamengo Park, the area has lost much of the beauty of direct access to the sea.

Until the 1930s, the neighborhood was considered the Paris of Rio, since emerged since the late 1880s here many hotels that served as residences of senators and in the exercise of their political activities were temporarily in Rio de Janeiro.
