Gloucester cattle

The Gloucester cattle are a breed of cattle from Gloucestershire, England, United Kingdom. The breed was formerly known as Old Gloucestershire.

The cattle have a reddish-brown to black -brown color and a white belly and back color ( so-called Rückenscheckung ). The animals are medium-to large-boned (weight of a cow about 500 to 650 kg).

Gloucester cattle there since the 13th century in the Cotswolds and the Severn Valley.
