Glynis Nunn

Glynis Nunn (born Glynis Leanne Saunders, in a second marriage Cearns; born December 4, 1960 in Toowoomba, Queensland ) is a former Australian track and field athlete and Olympic champion.

In 1977, she was at the Athletics World Cup in Dusseldorf, it was about 100 meters hurdles eighth. In the pentathlon of the Commonwealth Games 1978 in Edmonton was after the second discipline of injured.

In the Commonwealth Games 1982 in Brisbane she won the heptathlon, finished sixth over 100 m hurdles and seventh in the long jump. In 1983, she was at the World Athletics Championships in Helsinki seventh in the heptathlon, reaching over 100 meters hurdles semi-final.

The boycotted by the states of the Eastern Bloc 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, she won the gold medal in the heptathlon at the U.S. American Jackie Joyner ( silver ) and the German Sabine Everts ( bronze), was fifth over 100m hurdles and seventh in the long jump.

About 100m hurdles, she was at the Athletics World Cup 1985 in Canberra Fifth, won bronze at the Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh in 1986 and was fifth at the 1990 Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh.

The five times she was Australian champion in the 100m hurdles (1982-1986) and in the five- or seven- fight (1978, 1980-1982, 1984).

In 1982 she married the decathlete Chris Nunn, 1988 David Cearns.
