Gmina Giżycko

The Gmina Giżycko ( German rural community Lötzen ) is a rural municipality ( gmina wiejska ) in the powiat Giżycki. It belongs to the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship in the former East Prussia, which today is a part of Poland.

Seat of 289.76 square kilometer municipality with 7,671 inhabitants, the city Giżycko that is not a part of the community itself. The municipality includes 39 villages, bordering the city and the communities Giżycko Kętrzyn, Kruklanki, Miłki, Pozezdrze, Ryn, Węgorzewo and Wydminy.
