Gmina Łuków

The Gmina Łuków is a rural commune ( gmina wiejska ) in the powiat Łukowski in the Lublin Voivodeship, Poland. The seat of the municipality is located in the city Łuków.

Geography

The municipality has an areal extent of 308.22 km ², and surrounds the city Łuków completely. 60 % of its territory is used for agriculture, 33 % is covered by forest.

History

The municipality was formed in 1973 and from 1975 to 1998 it belonged to the Province of Siedlce.
